Mayoral Candidates Discuss the Future of Auckland

Urban design, housing density and affordability, and urban growth management are key issues facing Auckland this local body election year. They are likely to remain so for the next several years, and cannot be discussed without also considering infrastructure in general, and transportation in particular. All are critical issues, in need of active and robust debate.

This session, to be chaired by journalist, broadcaster and commentator Rod Oram, brings together the leading mayoral candidates ahead of the 2016 election. The candidates will be in conversation on urban issues, detailing their vision for Auckland and its future.

The University of Auckland School of Architecture and Planning is proud to host this debate as a part of the Fast Forward 016 guest lecture series.
