Join us for pop-up art, talks and art collection tours led by students and staff from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries as part of Artweek 2016.


12/10 Pop-up public art | Arting Zone

A series of projects created by the School of Architecture and Planning will be exhibited as part of Late Night Art in the Central City. These projects are a joint initiative between Artweek Auckland, Heart of the City, and the Auckland Council’s Design Office and will activate six sites in the Eastern Laneways with creative and interactive installations. 


14/10 The Langham Speaker Series | Linda Tyler - Biennale Fever

The Langham Speaker Series is a free, annual event to support robust conversations about contemporary art. This year's speaker, Linda Tyler, is the Director of the Centre for Art Studies and lectures a postgraduate course in Art Writing and Curatorial Practice at the University of Auckland. For Artweek 2016, Linda's talk is entitled 'Biennale Fever: international art fairs, exhibitions and the rise of the contemporary curator.'
