Elam School of Fine Arts

Contemporary art is of critical value to how we live, posing challenging and provocative questions about how we engage with our world. Our students are not solely artists – they are creative people with a desire to disrupt the status quo. Elam is a diverse and supportive environment where all creative practitioners learn and experiment in a range of practices. The School’s importance to New Zealand art and culture is substantial, with many of the country’s most influential artists, researchers and art commentators coming from Elam.
