The Work

Studying Fine Arts at Elam, widely recognised as the country's leading art school, gives our students a unique opportunity to explore, experiment and collaborate with others on a wide range of artistic endeavours.

The work below was recently exhibited at the 2014 Elam Grad Show. This is the major annual opportunity for our graduating students to share their most refined ideas and insights into fine art. It also provides a glimpse into the future of contemporary arts practice with many of the students featured going on to enjoy stellar careers both in New Zealand and abroad. Exhibiting a diverse range of artwork by over 120 students, the exhibition included painting, sculpture, photography, installation, sound work, design and multimedia projects.

The artists works represented here offer a small window into the various creative engagements shared over the Grad Show weekend.
