Master of Architecture (MArch)
Quick facts — MArch
|
Overview
The Master of Architecture (MArch) may be either entirely thesis-based or involve a thesis with some advanced coursework in a range of subject areas. You will explore in-depth issues that arise either from your undergraduate experience or in your practice, and be able to put an academic context around your own architectural investigations. You will undertake self-directed work, with the guidance of an appointed supervisor.
If you have completed at least four years of full-time architectural studies, this programme gives you the opportunity to extend your knowledge through advanced research in a specialised area of interest. The usual pathway into this programme is via the Bachelor of Architectural Studies (3 years) followed by the Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture (1 year fulltime), or an equivalent qualification that is indicative of ability to undertake advanced study in architecture.
Important: This is not a professionally accredited degree and will not prepare you for professional registration.
Highlights
