|
Overview
The Master of Architecture (Professional) (MArch(Prof)) follows on from the Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS). It is the qualification that is required to apply for registration as a professional architect.
In the first year of the programme you will attend a number of taught seminars, take professional studies courses and studio design topics. You can select from the following four subjects:
- Sustainable Design
- Urban Design
- Material and Digital Fabrication
- Māori and Cultural Studies.
In the second year you will prepare a 120-point research thesis in an area of specific interest. You will fully explore your chosen architectural proposition in a practical design context, underpinned by a strong theoretical component.
