Architecture for Humanity - Container Homes

Sean Bian, who has recently completed a Master of Architecture (Professional) (March(Prof)), turns a shipping container into a liveable home for disaster victims.


TRANS-FORM-ers

A unique event during Architecture Week 2009 that showcased the creativity of NICAI's BAS students.

Skyrise City

An exploration of futuristic high-rise construction involving 120 second-year architecture students tasked with the construction of 38 eight-metre high self-supporting models.


Glen Innes Housing Project

Housing New Zealand (HNZC) acted as a quasi-client for second year Architecture (Design 4) students.

Celebrating Sundials (ArchTec 208)

Led by Lecturer Hugh Byrd, second-year BAS students created sundials ancient and modern, practical and fantastical, to better understand the importance of solar geometry in architectural design.


The Umbrella Workshop

Students across the School of Architecture and Planning engage with one another to deconstruct, analyse and recreate the everyday umbrella in weird and wonderful new ways.
