Overview

If you have completed your Bachelor of Dance Studies (360 points) in the Dance Studies Programme at the National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries with a grade point average of ‘B’ or higher, you may be eligible to apply for entry into the Bachelor of Dance Studies (Honours) degree.

In this degree you will combine taught coursework and independent study, culminating in the completion of a final dissertation.  You will have opportunities to blend practice and theory, work within larger research projects and make your mark on the world.

This degree aims to develop your research awareness and skill to its full potential.  Your thinking and action will be honed for deeper and richer research that may take you into an academic career, and you will become a leader within the New Zealand dance community.
