Director's welcome

An introduction to the work of the Centre for New Zealand Art Research and Discovery (CNZARD) from Director Linda Tyler.

The University's art collection began in 1966, and now comprises more than 1200 artworks, including some major works by significant New Zealand artists (Gretchen Albrecht, Don Binney, Neil Dawson, Pat Hanly, Frances Hodgkins, Paul Hartigan, Ralph Hotere, Colin McCahon, Milan Mrkusich, Gordon Walters, John Weeks, Robin White and Toss Woollaston). See a few of them in this video, and hear about the programme of activities happening each year at the Gus Fisher Gallery, which is also managed by CNZARD.
