Online student resources
The faculty's computing labs are located in rooms 521, 523 and 526, on level 5 of 26 Symonds St (Building 421) on the City Campus. The NICAI Helpdesk is available from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday during semester time. Holiday hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. After-hours access (up to 11pm) is provided through a proximity card system and, subject to certain conditions, is available to all students in the faculty.
The labs support both Macintosh and Windows operating systems, along with a wide variety of software. Document scanning, black and white and colour printing and photocopying equipment are available. All lab systems provide internet access through a service run by the University’s central information technology services. Printing and internet services are run on a user pays basis. Access to all services is given via Netlogin.

The NICAI Large Format Print Centre is located at the NICAI Student Centre, Level 2, Architecture and Planning (Building 421), 26 Symonds Street. Normal operational hours are 1-5 pm Monday to Friday. The shelf outside the Print Centre is accessible for after-hours collection from 9am-1pm.

Cecil is the Enterprise Learning Management System. All students enrolled in courses at The University of Auckland automatically have access to Cecil. Cecil is designed for students to:
- access course information relevant to courses in which they are enrolled
- check announcements and marks for coursework but not exams
- download resources
- complete online tests
- participate in online discussion (course chat).
