The University of Auckland’s accommodation service can help you find somewhere to live that meets your needs or suits your lifestyle. You’ll find a range of University accommodation to choose from, whether you want a fully catered Hall of Residence or a self-catered flat (apartment). The Accommodation Services office can also help in your search for private accommodation such as a flat or homestay.

Auckland University Students’ Association (AUSA)

All students enrolled at The University of Auckland are eligible to join the Auckland University Students’ Association. Membership gives you access to social events, clubs and recreation facilities, as well as personal assistance with academic issues and representation on the University Council.

Career planning

The University Careers Service is the largest of its kind in New Zealand. The centre provides workshops, seminars, individual appointments, a drop-in service and extensive information resources.

For students with young children, there are five early childhood centres on campus, offering places to children aged from three months to five years. Dedicated Parentspaces provide facilities for caregivers and children, and there’s a child-friendly study space in the General Library.

Disability services

Disability coordinators provide advice, support and resources if you have disabilities. Resources include on-campus parking, notetakers, interpreters, sign language and alternative print formats.

English language support

If English is not your first language, or you need to improve your English skills, the University offers a variety of services to help you gain confidence in your speaking, reading and writing.

Diagnostic English Language Needs Assessment (DELNA) is a free service that helps to identify your level of English and guide you to the most appropriate English language support.

Health and counselling

General practice medical clinics are available at the City, Grafton, Tamaki and Epsom campuses. Counselling services are also offered at the City and Grafton campuses. Grafton and Tamaki have optometry clinics, and the City Campus also has a dental clinic and psychiatry, dermatology and physiotherapy services.

NICAI Student Centre

The NICAI Student Centre can help with advice on all NICAI's programmes, online enrolment, student support services and other general enquiries. It's also a great place to get together for coffee and a chat with other NICAI students.
