Fees and money matters

Whether you live overseas and are considering university study in New Zealand, or you are an international student already studying in New Zealand, you will need to consider all the costs associated with your planned programme of study at The University of Auckland.

Fees for undergraduate programmes

The table below provides a guide for students enrolled in full-time study in 2012, with an annual requirement of 120 points. In addition to tuition fees, students undertaking a full-time load of 120 points pay $NZ688.80 in student services fees. Part-time students are charged a proportion of these fees.

Notes

  1. The fees listed in this schedule are per point and include the course and materials fee. Programme fees are based on an enrolment in a standard full-time course load of 120 points per year. Fees will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis where the enrolment is for more or less than a standard full-time load. In all cases the fees per point will be charged at the rate set for that course, irrespective of the qualification the course is taken for.
  2. The total programme cost is based on the total points of the programme.
  3. Fees for inter-faculty programmes, programmes combining undergraduate and postgraduates courses or courses selected from more than one listed programme are calculated by deriving a fee for each course from the programme fees listed in the schedule below.
  4. The building levy and student service fee are payable by international students at the same rates applying to all students.
  5. For more detailed information regarding all fees, see the main University web page:
